My journey into the business of art began as a partner at Night Gallery, where I helped grow revenues from zero to $1.25M. For the first three years, I managed the gallery’s books before hiring and collaborating closely with a professional bookkeeper. I oversaw payments from collectors, payouts to artists, and tracked the profitability of exhibitions and art fairs to inform financial strategy. I also helped grow the team from zero to five employees and worked with numerous independent contractors.

Alongside this, I co-founded Sexy Beast, a fundraising initiative that raised millions for Planned Parenthood Los Angeles, and served as a founding advisor to art-tech startups like On Approval, which raised $4M in seed funding.

After managing finances for my own ventures, I began bookkeeping for other artists, including Kathryn Andrews. I provided standard services, transitioned her books from QuickBooks Desktop to Xero, and assisted with additional admin tasks like license updates.
